Japanese syllables and katakana

The first step in learning Japanese[Volume2]

Except for vowels which can stand alone, Japanese words are basically made up of simple syllables composed of one consonant and one vowel. Each syllable is stressed more or less evenly.

When you click on the underlined katakana, stroke order is displayed.

   ..... as in sun

   ..... as in send
   ..... as in so, but shorter
